Get Game Ready (2-Day Game Art Course)

Skill Boost is delighted to announce a two day art course with James Brady (Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2, PUBG, Hitman), where trainees will learn how to produce and optimise a game-ready 3D asset! Date / Time / Location:This course will happen on the 16th and 17th of February 2019 at the Q House Building in Sandyford from 12pm-6pm each day. Course Content:Over the two days, James will guide you through the process of creating a high-poly model in 3Ds MAX to the standards of a AAA game!* Maximize your high-poly models to eliminate aliasing!* Create optimized low-poly models that look great but stay within your graphical budget!* UV unwrap your model and get the best texture resolution possible!* James will conduct a Q&A at the end of each day, answering your questions on dev processes, industry practices – or if you just want to pick his brain! Participant Profile:Aimed at intermediate and advanced artists proficient at making objects in 3Ds Max and with an interest in learning how to apply these talents to the field of video games. Tutor Info:James Brady is a 3D artist with 4 years experience working on AAA games and large indie projects. James has worked at Rockstar Games on the latest release Red Dead Redemption 2, along with the wildly popular multiplayer game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. James has also made art for Hitman 2, Halo, Firewall Zero Hour, The Forest, NotMyCar, Insurgency Sandstorm (the sequel to New World Interactive’s classic title ‘Insurgency’) and many more…!
