This session will explore making 360 videos with consumer grade technologies. Stuart Masterson will introduce the technology and have a number of devices available to play with. All that you need to bring is either an iPhone or Samsung device (other android devices might work). If you wanted to try out this technology or find out how to get started this session is for you. There are limited devices so you will be sharing and RSVPing is essential. We will still have the usual tinkering and sharing of projects and have these technologies on hand to play with: NEW Wemos D1 mini (wifi connected arduino like board for under €3) Amazon’s Alexa MyCroft Raspberry Pi Arduino Grove/GrovePi kits 3D Printers And, as usual, if you have an idea and need some help figuring out where to get started or what creative technologies might help bring the idea to life. Maybe you just want to bounce your idea off someone else? Drop in to the Dun Laoghaire LexIcon Lab where our Creative Technology Curator, Dr. Jake Rowan Byrne, other “makers” and members of the community will be there and keen to help out. We want you to help make the LexIcon Lab a place where the future’s in the making. See more at: http://libraries.dlrcoco.ie/events-and-news/event-calendar/drop-maker-evenings-1 Don’t worry if you can’t turn up at 6pm, you can turn up at any point during the session to either see what others are working on or if you have a question/project you need help with.
