Most recently, Brian started Future Finance, the first European private student lending company. He led Dublin-based Future Finance from an idea in 2013 to one of the best-funded and fastest-growing tech startups in Ireland. Brian passed the CEO baton to a great new team in early 2017, and remains on the Future Finance Board. Prior to Future Finance, Brian built and helped to grow several mortgage and student lending companies in the US, including Arch Bay, a $1.5b mortgage investment fund. Today Brian is a Partner at Ridge Road, an private investment fund that invests in and helps to build great businesses. He also advises some of the most exciting UK and Irish fintechs, including Flender, Bricksave, Mkopo Kaka, and Creditspring. Brian grew up in Chicago and started his first business (making websites) in his dorm room at Harvard. He has an MBA from UCLA and spends his free time learning new programming languages. He, his wife, his two kids, and his dog live happily in Dublin.
