Flightglobal : Enabling Aviation Analytics

Flightglobal connects key proprietary data sets (airline schedules and aircraft fleet data) using flight status data (i.e. realtime aircraft monitoring data). This connection facilitates a raft of really cool and unique customers insights that FlightGlobal has subsequently been able to build and test with new and existing customers. Michael Targett is a Senior Director at FlightGlobal, where he is part of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibilities for data operations, analytics, and developing new opportunities in the air travel sector. He will talk through this interesting HPCC Systems® use case, focusing on how this open source technology helped the FlightGlobal R&D team to unlock new analytical insights, and establish a new product development process for accelerating new business opportunities. We’ll host it in our brand new office. Get into the building, take the stairs on the left to the first floor, and then the door on the right. Doors open at 6pm. Talk will start at 6.30pm sharp (main door entrance closes by this time). There will be time for networking afterwards. Beer, pizza and coffee will be provided.
