SPEAKERS Prof. Owen Conlan, ADAPT CentreTitle: Personalisation: Doing More with Less Professor Owen Conlan, based in Trinity College Dublin, is an internationally recognised researcher and leader in the fields of User Modelling, Adaptation, Personalisation and Adaptive Hypermedia research. He has authored 120+ high impact publications (h-index of 23). Owen leads the Personalising the User Experience research theme in the ADAPT Centre, is director of the Knowledge and Data Engineering Group, is co-director of the Trinity Centre for Digital Humanities and has led several international interdisciplinary research projects. Patricia Scanlon, Founder & CEO of SoapBox Labs  Patricia Scanlon holds a PhD in Speech Technologies from University College Dublin and have 20 years experience working across academia and industry. She has held positions with Columbia University in New York, IBM T.J. Watson Research Centre and Bell Labs, Alcatel Lucent and has served as an Adjunct Lecturer for Trinity College Dublin. In her most recent role in Bell Labs she was working with business groups, research engineers, external companies and collaborators to design and develop innovative products, validating business models, commercialisation strategies as well as licensing partnerships across a range of industries.
