September Lightning Talks
August 30, 2016
When: Saturday 24 January, 1970
Where: Intercom - Stephen Court 18-21 St. Stephen's Green
Lightning talks! Lightning talks are short presentations, between 5 to 15 minutes worth, with as few or as many slides as you like. *Any* clojure-topic is of interest!
For some examples, here are some ideas for short topics: – Build tools: Leiningen vs Boot – Introduction to macros – Destructuring of arguments in Clojure (2 slides?) – core.match, one step up from destructuring – Mini-Kanren, core.logic & prolog-style dataflow in Clojure (probably a bigger one!) – What I wished I’d known when I started out in Clojure – Converting idiomatic object-oriented code to functional Clojure code There are tons of others, and it’d be great to hear your experience reports, your favourite Clojure libraries, or even your negative experiences – what you struggle with when learning or using Clojure. We’ve a couple of speakers lined up already. If you want to join them, or volunteer for one of the above topics, just send myself or Dan a message here or by email and we’ll add you to the list.
